The Petition is no longer available to sign, following the closure of the Visitor Centre in January 2018. Signatures were collected during 2016 and 2017, and the petition was then submitted to the National Park. The final petition contained more than 1,500 signatures opposing closure.
In addition numerous people, both visitors and local people, wrote to the National Park opposing closure, but sadly in vain.
